Ramona Pansegrau certainly keeps people on their toes. She has been called one of the best ballet pianists in the world. Prior to becoming music director of Kansas City Ballet in 2006, she held positions of principal pianist, solo pianist, music director, and conductor for Boston and Tulsa ballet companies. Her arrangements of ballets are in the repertory of the Western Australia Ballet, Charleston Ballet Theatre, Tulsa Ballet, Louisville Ballet, and the San Carlo Opera House in Italy. She knows music—especially ballet music. Listen Sundays from noon to 1 p.m. as she hosts Music Moves featuring music for dance and special guests who will talk about the correlation of dance and music. Pansegrau says, “I hope to introduce the audience to some of the most beautiful music they’ve never heard.”
